Stephanie Rovetti, Coach / Trainer

Stephanie is a Reno native and attended Reno High School where she was a four-year letterwinner in basketball and track. She was the Northern Nevada player of the year and earned first team all-state, region, and league accolades. She was a McDonalds All-American nominee and as a team captain she helped guide her team to the finals of the state championship as a sophomore and to the semifinals as a junior and senior. Stephanie had a successful track career as the 2008 Nevada Runner of the Year and was second in the state of Nevada for the 100m and 200m. She received first team all-state, region, and league accolades as a track athlete as well and holds four school records (100m. 200m, 4x100m relay, 4x200m relay). Stephanie received an academic honors diploma and was a member of the National Honor Society.
COLLEGE
Stephanie continued her basketball career with a scholarship to play at Brigham Young University. She had a successful career at BYU with an overall record of 54-14 over two seasons. She helped guide her team to a No. 18 national ranking and two trips to the NCAA tournament. During the 2013-2014 season, BYU reached the Sweet-16 as a 12-seed with wins against No. 5 ranked NC State and No. 4 ranked Nebraska and a loss to the eventual National champion, No. 1 ranked UCONN. Stephanie sat out two seasons due to a knee injury and a redshirt year. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Public Health.
In 2014, Stephanie transferred to Fresno State to play out her last year of eligibility while continuing her education in Graduate School. She helped the bulldogs to a 23-10 record and a trip to the second round of the WNIT while receiving national AP-poll votes. She made her first season start against UC-Riverside drawing a defensive assignment on the nation’s leading scorer, Brittany Cain, holding her to just 10 points. She is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Public Administration.
Stephanie has gained a wealth of experience playing against top collegiate teams in the country including: Duke, UCONN, Syracuse, Kansas State, DePaul, Creighton, Wisconsin, Gonzaga, USC, Oregon, George Washington, Nebraska, NC State, Washington State, Creighton, Harvard, Boston College, and Arizona.
